The Government has announced enhanced post-study work rights for international students, effective from the start of the 2026 academic year.
Students completing a bachelor's degree or higher will be eligible for a three-year open post-study work visa. Students in STEM and healthcare fields may qualify for an additional year.
A new "Graduate to Residence" pathway has been introduced for graduates who secure skilled employment.
